I believe it's important to learn technical skills and advance your career, but I believe it is even more important to also grow spiritually and in relationship with God. In this article I share some awesome resources that have helped me learn more about the Bible, God and advance in my walk with Christ. Even if you do not believe in a God, these resources will serve as great motivation and perhaps provide alternative & progressive ways to look at life, yourself, purpose, learnership and relationships. This article will constantly evolve as I come across resources that are a blessing.
Inspired by what God says in the bible about what Church actually is, Francis Chan presents a different way of looking at Church as we commonly know it.
Of course the best book to read is the Bible itself, but human authors inspired by God can help build perspective. When I read the bible I like to read the Amplified version (AMP).
My son loves the Bible App for Kids. He plays it all the time and then starts telling me about what he learned. It really is effective at teaching kids the Bible in a meaningful & fun way.
I love that we can just find sermon recordings online for free and watch them over & over. I constantly revisit these sermons and each time they help me see further. To me a powerful sermon, talk or lecture will allow you to see your purpose more clearly and often times lead to clarity in the next steps of your journey.
I attended this one in-person and when it was over I sprinted to my car to do exactly what God wanted me to. The steps I took ultimately led to me getting married to my soul mate, having my son, creating content and launching into the next phase of my journey.
